Andy Smith- Director

My earliest experience in electronic manufacture was in 1978, so that makes me the older of the two partners although you would never tell! Since then I have been involved in a variety of manufacturing businesses, involved mainly in electronic pursuits and their associated management process, but also medium-scale project management and general management.

I am a Christian and regularly attend the local church with my wife Julie. Married for more than 29 years, my wife and I have three children. We enjoy fine food & good company & love to travel & explore both in the UK & abroad when time allows.

Ian Cooper - Director

I am at heart a production engineer and development manager. I began my industrial career as a hands-on technician in 1990. Over the years I have primarily pursued my career working within the subcontract electronic and panel building sector working at managerial level for many years before forming Mastronik Systems in 1999 with my business partner Andy.

Away from work, my passion for Land Rover and all things electronic and mechanical is only surpassed by my love of clay pigeon shooting and other country pursuits, which I share with my wife Karen, who is an osteopath and owns a successful practice in Shefford.

Mark Smith - General Manager

My career within the electronics industry began in 1993 as a technical apprentice, gaining experience and knowledge in all aspects of a medium-sized manufacturing company, finally settling in the procurement and production scheduling departments. My entire career has been based in electronics and manufacturing, working within the satellite communications and industrial monitor market, all within a logistical capacity. I joined Mastronik Systems in September 2010 as General Manager in order to bring a different set of skills to the business.

Away from the office, my wife and I have two young children, and when time allows we share a variety of interests. I spent 16 years with the St John Ambulance Service, leaving in 2004 after spending a long period as an officer running a successful division within the organisation. I also target shoot small bore rifles and have an interest in writing novels.
