Study one

Some time ago we received a last moment invitation to attend a development meeting being held by a company that was inviting suppliers to comment on how they might manufacture their new design. It was clear on arrival that this was not the first meeting of potential suppliers, and we were arriving late to the party!

The requirement was to offer a cost-effective solution to a signal and power disruption system dilemma that was in the prototype stage. By bringing to bear our past experience in this field we were able to approach the problem in a completely unique way.

Our solution was easier and less expensive than any of the other suggestions. The result was a very happy new customer despite our being last to the party.

Study Two

Having built a few small items for a new customer for a very short period of time, we were advised that there was a high probability that the whole product might cease production due to escalating manufacturing costs in other areas. Although we were a relatively new supplier we persuaded our customer to allow us to look at the product as a whole.

With the benefit of a fresh approach we were able to suggest a series of design changes that significantly reduced and streamlined the production process. This, coupled with our own unique purchasing insight, allowed us to restructure the way in which materials were sourced and supplied.

All this happened some years ago and the product has since gone from strength to strength and is now part of a successful range of products. In short, we were able to supply a solution.
